Prior to founding the firm, Gregory Anderson was a partner at Billing, Cochran, Heath, Lyles, Mauro, Anderson & Ramsey, P.A. for eighteen years and has been practicing in Florida for over twenty-five years.  Krista Mayfield, Kera Hagan and Phillip Thron are native Floridians and have been practicing together locally for approximately ten years.

Gregory Anderson is an “AV” rated attorney who has been practicing in Florida for over 25 years.  Mr. Anderson graduated from Stetson University with a Juris Doctor degree in 1981.  Mr. Anderson was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982 and the District of Columbia in 1983.  Mr.  Anderson is also a member of the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.  Mr. Anderson is member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Council for Ethical Billing.

Mr. Anderson was a partner at Billing, Cochran, Heath, Lyles, Mauro, Anderson & Ramsey, P.A. for over 18 years before founding Anderson, Mayfield, Hagan & Thron, P.A.  In over 25 years of practice Mr. Anderson has tried over 120 cases to verdict throughout many jurisdictions in Florida.  He has litigated cases venued in twenty-one counties in Florida.  Mr. Anderson’s practice has included trying automobile negligence cases, premises liability cases, contractual disputes, negligent hiring, negligent supervision, nursing home cases, cemetery cases, and a wide variety of other general liability issues.  Mr. Anderson’s clients have included insurance carriers, both Florida and national corporations, individuals, governmental agencies such as school districts and fire rescue departments, and many others.

Krista Mayfield is a native Floridian, originally from Daytona Beach.  She has lived in West Palm Beach, Florida since 1988.  Ms. Mayfield received a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Florida Atlantic University in 1992.  She graduated from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in Memphis, Tennessee and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995.  Ms. Mayfield is a member of the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. 

Ms. Mayfield began as an associate attorney with the West Palm Beach offices of Wicker, Smith, Tutan, O’Hara, McCoy, Graham & Ford where she litigated various types of general liability claims.   From 2002 to 2008, Ms. Mayfield was an associate in the West Palm Beach offices of Billing, Cochran, Heath, Lyles, Mauro, Anderson & Ramsey, P.A.  During the course of practicing at Billing, Cochran, Ms. Mayfield worked primarily with partner, Gregory Anderson.  Mr. Anderson and Ms. Mayfield have tried many cases together in several counties throughout Florida. 

Ms. Mayfield’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation and trials.  She has handled numerous types of civil cases, including general liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, commercial liability, and nursing home negligence.   Her full-litigation practice includes representation of her clients at mediation and arbitration, as well as trial.  With 13 years of practice in West Palm Beach, Ms. Mayfield has established an array of experience, professionalism, and recognition within the legal community.

Kera Hagan is originally from Miami, Florida and has lived in West Palm Beach, Florida since 1998.  Ms. Hagan received a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1996 and was admitted to the Florida bar in 1996.  Ms. Hagan is a member of the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida.  Ms. Hagan is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association; the Florida Association of Women’s Lawyers and is a former Chairperson of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, 15G, for Palm Beach County.  Ms. Hagan is also an invited speaker for continuing legal education courses.

Ms. Hagan began the practice of law as a Staff Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida where she worked with the Circuit Court Judges in Pasco County, Florida.  In 1998, she relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida and began practicing as an associate attorney at Wicker, Smith, Tutan, O’Hara, McCoy, Graham & Ford, P.A.  In 2000, Ms. Hagan began working at Billing, Cochran, Heath, Lyles, Mauro, Anderson & Ramsey, P.A.  During the course of practicing at Billing, Cochran, Ms. Hagan worked primarily with partner, Gregory Anderson, handling many different areas of civil litigation including general liability, motor vehicle accidents, commercial liability, medical malpractice, contract litigation, and malicious prosecution actions.  Mr. Anderson and Ms. Hagan have tried many cases together in various counties throughout South Florida, the Treasure Coast, and Central Florida.

Phillip Thron was born in Melbourne, Florida.  Mr. Thron received a Bachelor of Sciences degree with honors from the University of Florida in 1995.  He then attended law school at University of Florida Levin College of Law where he earned a Juris Doctor degree in December of 1998.  While in law school, Mr. Thron was a member of the University of Florida Law Review; Student Honor Court; and Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinic.  In April of 1999, Mr. Thron was admitted to the Florida Bar.

Mr. Thron began his legal career as an associate with Wicker, Smith, Tutan, O’Hara, McCoy, Graham & Ford, P.A. in their Ft. Lauderdale office.  He then relocated to West Palm Beach in October 2002 where he was an associate attorney with Billing, Cochran, Heath, Lyles, Mauro, Anderson & Ramsey, P.A.  As an associate attorney, Mr. Thron was responsible for managing all phases of litigation up to and including trial.

Mr. Thron’s practice focuses on all aspects civil litigation.  He has experience handling a variety of civil lawsuits including: product liability; premises liability; wrongful death; construction defects; medical malpractice; and motor vehicle negligence.

Joshua H. Marks was raised in Palm Beach County, and returned to West Palm Beach in 2009 after graduating with honors from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.  He began his legal career as a law clerk for Billing, Cochran, Heath, Lyles, Mauro, Anderson & Ramsey, P.A., while attending law school.   In law school, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technology Law & Policy and received book awards for academic excellence in Civil Procedure and Legal Drafting.  In addition, he was a Teaching Assistant for courses in Appellate Advocacy and Legal Research and Writing.  Mr. Marks was admitted to the Florida Bar in October of 2009.

 

Ann G. Breeden was born in Kilmarnock, Virginia.  Ms. Breeden graduated from the University of Florida summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks and Tourism.  She also received her Master of Science in Recreational Studies from the University of Florida.  While in graduate school, she acted as an Athletics Tutor for University of Florida athletes.  She then attended law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2009. 

While in law school, Ms. Breeden was an active member of the John Marshall Bar Association and the Entertainment Law Review.  In October 2009, she was admitted to the Florida Bar.  She began her legal career with Three Rivers Legal Services in Gainesville, Florida, where she provided pro bono attorney services from October 2009 to February of 2010.
